If love and care could death prevent
His days on earth would have long been spent
His life was desired but God did see,
Eternal life was best for thee

We loved him in life, he is dear to us still
But in grief we must bend to God's Holy Will
Our sorrow was great, our loss hard to bear,
But angels, dear father, will tend you with care
